Big hike a bike section. Trail is blown out and we heard closed but no signs saying so

It was restored from Lake Awosting to Beaver Creek. The section from Ellenville to Beaver Creek is both closed to biking and mostly unrideable.

Can anyone confirm that they have ridden this on a bike? I've heard conflicting reports of whether it is open and/or actually rideable (at a minimum it looks like a brutal grade)
