Gravel Segment
On McQueen's Island Historic Trail, Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia
fast and flat shell gravel, it doesn't get much better than this if you happen to be staying on Tybee. little bridge was out, may be fixed now, if so, you can continue on a few more miles. You can also cut over the causeway to Ft. Pulaski and add a few more miles of dirt and paved loops.

Mixed maintenance: At least 7 areas of tidal over wash from 40 feet to 200 feet in distance with some washouts reducing trail to one lane rut. The size of the gravel used for maintenance is too large: 2" rocks were common.
