Gravel Segment
On Hunstrete Ln, Pensford, Bath and North East Somerset, England
Birchwood lane leading to Lords wood is great fun. You can either carry on straight past the wood, or go into Lords Wood. There are a couple of Gravel Friendly trails in here, which form a lap around the lake inside. Ideal for Cyclocross practice, or one day, maybe even a cyclocross race would be amazing in here. Once you are done playing in the wood, carry on down the bridleway downhill. Dont go down into the river, but the path continues into the field and runs along the edge to cross a small stream which will bring you out in Woollard. You should be able to make out lots of tyre tracks on the edge of the field. Watch out in the woods if its pheasant shooting season though! Enjoy. This ride is will worth continuing back to Pensford and then seeking out the nearby Featherbed lane to climb up to Clutton.
