The main trunk of FR 24 gets graded every once in a while, and that smooths out the rocky inclines and ruts, but creates sand/silt pits that may require some hike-a-bike. And it's mostly dirt, so rain will turn it into an unrideable mess until it dries out. And then it will be rutted from mudding trucks. So YMMV. But that's part of the fun, right? The Caja Fire of August 2020 was ignited by lightning and burned the north side of Colorado Peak down to the double-track, so that adds interest.
